Morph3DBot gets a new look<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our projects are always designed to be sustainable and to drive lasting change, improvement, or further development in research and teaching. One of these projects is Morph3DBot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Morph3DBot is a modular robotics kit that brings hands-on learning to life\u2014ideal for STEM classes, project days, or open workshops. All components can be easily 3D-printed (\u2192 Link zu den Dateien auf Thingiverse<\/a>) and, thanks to its Arduino compatibility, it opens up countless possibilities for personal projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Morph3DBot, learning becomes an experience: Students build their own robots during project days, extracurricular clubs, or 5-hour workshops and gain their first hands-on experience with electronics and programming. Teachers can participate in professional development sessions or school-based teacher training programs (\u2192 SchiLF<\/a>) gain hands-on experience with its use. Collaborations with FabLabs are also possible upon request\u2014for even more creative possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carolin Schr\u00f6der, Lena Hagenauer and Lukas Hellwig started the project as a team in 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the beginning it looked much simpler and got modified in long working shifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Morph3DBots were extensively tested in workshops and then adapted to new dice systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today's status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The project will soon be spun off as a startup and developed into a market-ready and scalable business.
There are classroom sets used to teach lower and upper secondary school students at various schools. The system is also used in classes at Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences, where it is combined with AI, for example, in the form of machine learning on the edge.
