NRW.Bank visits FabLab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How can we promote the circular economy? How does the FabLab do it? With this question, NRW.Bank accepted the invitation to the FabLab as part of the #digital.zirkul\u00e4r.ruhr project and was given a guided tour of the lab by our colleague Kerstin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of our projects in the FabLab is #digital.zirkul\u00e4r.ruhr, in which companies are supported with their own project ideas on how they can implement a digital circular economy. An important aspect is the financing of such projects and this is where NRW.Bank comes into play. With its help, companies could be supported in the future so that everyone benefits from the idea of the circular economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kerstin showed the group how we shred filament remnants and misprints from our 3D printers and process them into new filament in the future, as well as the laser cutting area. Leftover material is not simply thrown away, but can be used by our visitors free of charge. In addition, product manufacturing in the laser cutter is more sustainable in terms of maintenance and production processes compared to old, large machines. The NRW.Bank representatives were very enthusiastic about the possibilities in the FabLab and can now share their impressions with their team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
